Mpire is hosting this year's eBay Live 2005 Charity Auction for the Disabled Online Users Association (DOUA). Donated items include a 1-hour meeting with Rich Tong, founding partner of Ignition Partners, the Northwest's largest venture capital company, and legal services to convert a seller's eBay business to an LLC (Limited Liability Corporation), donated by lawyer Cliff Ennico, a writer for Entrepreneur Magazine.
The DOUA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1998 with the sole purpose of bringing the online world of business to the disabled (http://www.doua.org). The DOUA Training Center was opened in August 2004 with the vision of creating a place where students, mentors and volunteers could easily communicate and share ideas, advice, resources and friendship.
An array of products and services has been donated from members of the eBay community. Some of the highlights include business consulting sessions by eBay experts, business advertising at AuctionBytes.com (publisher of this newsletter), a marketplace custom report donated by Terapeak (a $5000 value), and a copy of "The Official eBay Bible," signed by author, Jim "Uncle Griff" Griffith, eBay's official Ambassador.
In addition, for every person who signs up for a Terapeak account during eBay Live 2005, Terapeak will donate 25% of the first month’s fees to the DOUA, and LogoYes has generously donated a new logo identity to each of the members of DOUA.
Mpire, which is hosting the DOUA charity auction, offers an all-in-one solution for managing eBay businesses. It is exhibiting in booth 539 at eBay Live to announce its Elite Builder Beta program.
The 10-day eBay auctions launched on June 16, and the final days of the auction run through eBay's fourth annual conference, eBay Live 2005, from June 23 – 25.
