In an exclusive interview with AuctionBytes, Sellathon CEO Wayne Yeager revealed that his company has released an API for eBay developers. Vendors can work with Sellathon to integrate Sellathon's Viewtracker software into their own applications. Viewtracker lets eBay sellers track traffic to their listings, letting them know which marketing efforts are most effective and helping them formulate effective keyword strategies for auction titles. Integration in a third-party tool means eBay sellers do not have to launch a new browser window to view traffic statistics while using the third-party tool.
Yeager said Auctiva is the first vendor to license the API and is making Sellathon Viewtracker available to Auctiva users.
Sellathon is also working with Overstock Auctions and announced it will be the default hit counter on Overstock Auctions (http://auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y05/m06/i21/s04).
