4D Inc. has integrated Flickr, Yahoo's photo-hosting service, into its new auction management tool MarketBlast. MarketBlast is a software program that simplifies the process of listing and managing items on eBay. 4D says the tool makes it easy to bulk-list items, manage inventory, invoice winners, calculate postage, ship items, report sales and post photographs. 4D is a 21-year-old maker of software solutions that help businesses manage their data.
Brendan Coveney, president and CEO of 4D Inc., said "The integration of Flickr into MarketBlast has been a significant element in developing the best next generation auction software tool on the market. That's because adding photos to your eBay auction-listings has become so essential to entice potential buyers to bid on your items."
MarketBlast is a software program that users download or install from a CD and costs $99 with no monthly fees. With the integration of Flickr, MarketBlast users can upload images worth 20 megabytes (MB) - about 400 images - per month for free. Flickr also allows its users to upload 2 gigabytes worth of images (about 40,000 images), for $24.95 per year.
4D says in comparison, one of the leading makers of first generation auction management tools charges $419 per year (or $34.95 per month) for a quarter of that comparable storage space - 500 MB. The company said Flickr integrates seamlessly with MarketBlast.
