UK auction site eBid will introduce Affiliate and Buddy Points programs for U.S. members (http://us1ebid.notlong.com). The introduction of the new programs follows the successful U.S. launch of eBid earlier in November.
The eBid Affiliate Program encourages individuals to promote eBid to their friends, family, colleagues and others. The individual receives $1.75 for each person recruited. The eBid Buddy Points Program enables members to earn points by referring friends, receiving positive feedback, bidding on auctions and other actions. The points can be used for bidding on eBid Buddy Auctions.
eBid was founded in 2000 and operates sites in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States, with plans to launch sites in France, Spain, Italy and Germany in the near future.
