Sellers posting on the eBay's "Technical Issues" board are complaining that newly listed items and sold items are disappearing. A number of threads report other problems as well, including problems with Watch lists, Favorite Seller lists, and even problems bidding on auctions.
"Nothing is working right this weekend," wrote one frustrated seller, and others complained about the timing of the glitches during the busy holiday shopping season. Another source of frustration is the lack of communication from eBay about the problems. eBay has a Systems Announcement Board that says, "Visit this board for information on scheduled site maintenance or system issues that are affecting Marketplace trading," but contains no report of any problem or estimated time of resolution.
One seller wrote in an email to AuctionBytes, "As per usual, Ebay is totally screwed up! Issues for both buyers and sellers are rampant - started seriously about a week ago and has gotten progressively worse." She reports that the message boards are also glitchy, making it difficult to report complaints.
