Online Classifieds site LiveDeal.com has hired Steve Chaffin as Vice President of Marketing. Chaffin, a consumer marketing and branding veteran who has led marketing efforts at companies such as American Online, The Clorox Company and Bluelight.com. He will be responsible for driving the full range of LiveDeal's brand initiatives, as well as the site's domestic and international online and offline marketing programs.

LiveDeal, founded by early eBay engineer Rajesh Navar, has over $5 billion worth of goods listed for sale, more than 1.2 million unique monthly visitors, and key categories with growth in excess of 100 percent month-over-month. LiveDeal currently operates in the U.S. and Canada, with plans to aggressively continue its international expansion.
