Alibaba is hosting its Annual China Entrepreneur Summit in Hangzhou's West Lake in China from September 9-10, 2006, for Chinese entrepreneurs and companies conducting business online. The two-day event is expected to bring together more than 10,000 people from all over China. The theme of this year's conference is "A World Driven by Innovation."
The main attraction of AliFest will be an outdoor festival of exhibitions and booths of leading Internet companies along the scenic West Lake, including Alibaba, consumer online-auction site Taobao, online payment service Alipay, and Yahoo China.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in forums and roundtables with successful ecommerce entrepreneurs and attend education classes on how to improve buyer and seller performance on Alibaba.com, tailored to all user levels. Speakers will include Alibaba CEO Jack Ma and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang.
AliFest is open to everyone at no cost, but seats for special seminars and events are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
