The Association of Online Appraisers (AOA) is a registered 501(c)(6) not-for-profit international association for personal property appraisers who are involved in offering online written appraisal reports (either as individuals or via an appraisal management company) through the use of digital images and Internet online reporting.

The AOA welcomes as members appraisal practitioners, appraisal management companies, educators, and organizations that share the AOA's aims. The AOA will:

  • provide online education for the professional appraiser,
  • help set the agenda and identify the emerging issues concerning online appraisal practices,
  • promote public dialogue on those issues, and
  • establish systems by which the public can be best served by the online appraiser.

    The International Society of Appraisers’ members specialize in 226 areas in antiques, collectibles, residential contents, art, gems, jewelry, machinery and equipment fields.

    ISA’s “Be Certain of Its Value - A Consumer Guide to Hiring an Appraiser” brochure has assisted thousands of people needing an appraisal for the first time.
