|
|
| Last summer I found out that Yahoo had a "secret" program that allow sellers to list auctions for free and just pay a final value fee of 5%. This explains why some sellers have 100s of auctions starting at high values but hardly any sales. I tried to sign up for this program this week and was told it is no longer available to new sellers. |

It's somewhat academic as long as Yahoo refuses to promote their auctions. If they started promoting their auctions again,
the 5 cent listing fees would be a bargain.
I've never paid a cent to list on Yahoo. I received $1.00 in credit for each positive feedback I had from eBay. Something like $500+ in credit and I never used it up. Yahoo is so slow I don't even bother listing for free.
I would rather list with a site that atleast makes an effort. |

I gave up on Yahoo, especially now since they display ads on auction searches--ads that feature competitor products. Not worth the effort.

I'm with beckem on this one!
We had/have a couple of thousand $ in credits with Yahoo and have some stuff listed there, but sales are not all that impressive.
If I was the one that had to do the listings, I doubt I would bother even with all the credits we have there.
It's almost as if they "cycle" stuff on and off too. We won't have any sales for a while, then out of the blue we get several - one right after the other. Weird! _________________ Steve

| We stopped listing there just after 9/11. Prior to that we did pretty well on Yahoo! In fact, we were buying on eBay and selling on Yahoo! I appreciate your insight because now I will not bother to go back on. |

Does anybody know if they're still giving credits for eBay feedback?
